NFT’s. The future of music monetization.

MUSIC MONETIZATION

BY: KING NGAVU

Unique NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) are automatically generated for every release you make.

Media & Royalty NFTs

Have an option between minting a limited-release NFT of a specific track’s media (artwork + music) or simply offer fans part of its tokenized royalties.

Lifetime Secondary Sales

Every time that NFT is resold, you receive 10% of secondary sales. How’s that for unlimited earning potential?

Why mint on Jozi Records?

True & Permanent Ownership

NFTs guarrentee immutable ownership - giving you, your collaborators, and your fans peace of mind that what they own is truly theirs and theirs alone.

Release Flow Integration

Effortlessly mint NFTs when you go to release your latest track. No need to research another platform.

Connect With Fans

NFTs are basically digital collectibles. Give fans exclusive, direct access to your music and strengthen your connection with them.

Here's why you should minting your music

My mission with this article 1is to accelerate the growth and maximize the success of every artist.

Why should I make my release an NFT?

NFTs represent a scarce version of a song or album - represented on-chain. Even if just from a creative perspective, it’s always beneficial to experiment on the edge of music + technology. From a financial standpoint, NFTs can be wildly lucrative. Artists have at times made more from 100 NFTs sales than from 100M streams. From a fan-building perspective, it allows you to create a financial reward for your top fans. It’s truly a win-win situation for everyone involved.

How do I earn money from making my release an NFT?

You can make money directly from your “mint”. A mint is the initial release of your NFT. If you sell 1000 NFTs for a song and charge R2000 rands, you’ve made R1 million rands. If a market develops around those NFTs, you can earn recurring revenue from charging a royalty fee (typically 5-10%) on each sale.

Are NFTs really going to change the game?

NFTs do have a chance to change the game, but right now, we see it as a tool to give artists more creative flexibility in their independent journey.

If I mint my release, will it also be available on DSP’s?

You can still release your music on DSPs. You can have a special version specifically as an NFT to live on the blockchain as a limited release. It complements your current release cycle as opposed to changing it completely.

Can fans listen to my NFT release without buying it?

Fans cannot listen to your NFT release without purchasing it, unless the release is a hybrid release - meaning it’s both an NFT and a regular release distributed to DSPs.

How do fans purchase my NFT release?

They’ll need a crypto wallet ( like metamask) in order to purchase your NFT at mint or to buy it on an NFT marketplace. They’ll need to have enough of the cryptocurrency that the NFT is priced in (like Ethereum) + gas fees to complete the transaction.

Be the artist you are born to be.
