Khayelitsha FM steps in to help Khayelitsha fire victims

  COMMUNITY NEWS | SHACK FIRE LEAVES MORE THAN 100 HOMELESS IN KHAYELITSHA  No injuries or fatalities were reported. BY LERATO MATLA  Khayelitsha FM staff members  Khayelitsha FM have come out in support of the fire victims affected by the recent shack fire in Site C informal settlement. Since the incident occurred on Saturday 15 July, activists and organisations had dedicated their time giving support to the victims.   On Wednesday 19 July Khayelitsha FM visited Site C and donated clothes, food parcels and blankets to the shack fire victims. Khayelitsha FM was established to empower and develop the community of Khayelitsha and the surrounding communities. The station’s founder and CEO King Ngavu said they were touched by the incident. “Many people were left with nothing after the inferno.
